1.3.2 WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
The Stratum Civil is committed to protecting the health and safety of all its workers, as injury and illness is needless, costly and preventable. The company is committed to the elimination of injury in the workplace both on site and for everyone using the premises as a place of work or visiting on business.
Management will:
- Consult with workers regarding the implementation of practices and systems that will ensure the health and safety of workers. Worker participation at all levels is essential for ensuring a healthy and safe workplace.
- Set health and safety objectives and performance criteria for all work areas;
- Annually review health and safety objectives and our performance;
- Encourage accurate and timely reporting and recording of all incidents and injuries;
- Identify all existing and new hazards and take all practicable steps to eliminate or minimise the exposure to any hazards;
- Ensure that all employees are made aware of the hazards in their work areas and are adequately trained so they can carry out their duties in a safe manner;
- Actively encourage the early reporting of any pain or discomfort and participation in the hazard identification and treatment process;
- Investigate all reported incidents and injuries to identify all contributing factors and, where appropriate, formulate plans for corrective action;
- Provide treatment and rehabilitation plans that ensure a safe, early and durable return to work;
- Enable employees to elect health and safety representatives;
- Ensure that all contractors and subcontractors are actively managing health and safety for themselves and their employees;
- Ensure the continual improvement of the effectiveness of the management system including annual reviews of policies and procedures;
- Meet legal obligations as specified in the legislation, codes of practice and any relevant standards or guidelines.
Every Manager, Supervisor or Employee is accountable to the MD for the health and safety of employees working under their direction.
Each employee is expected to help maintain a safe and healthy workplace through:
- Share in the commitment to health and safety;
- Following all safe work procedures, rules and instructions;
- Properly using all safety equipment and clothing provided;
- Reporting early any pain or discomfort;
- Taking an active role in their own safety and the safety of others;
- Reporting all incidents, injuries and hazards to the appropriate person.
This policy and associated procedures will be reviewed in consultation with relevant parties and when any changes or amendments to the relevant legislation and/or every twelve (12) calendar months from the date promulgated.

Quality Policy
1.3.1 QUALITY POLICY
Stratum Civil is dedicated to the delivery of high-quality process improvement services including plant maintenance,
design and construction services, fabrication and installation of plant and equipment for process improvement to our client
as agreed by contract, at a quality that meets or exceeds our client’s expectation, within budget, and in an efficient and
timely manner.
We are committed to:
- Meeting legal requirements;
- Continually improving the effectiveness of the BMS;
- Meeting the needs and expectations of interested parties.
To achieve this, we will:
- Provide our clients with a quality product for the management of their compliance needs;
- Provide our clients with free content, information and industry insight to improve their compliance knowledge;
- Provide timely and accurate support to our clients;
- Listen to our clients when developing and enhancing the product;
- Provide an environment where staff can grow and learn new skills;
- Provide a return to shareholders.
We will measure our progress through:
- Setting measurable objectives and monitoring our progress during management meetings and annual
- Management System Reviews;
- Documenting our plans;
- Reviewing performance and the effectiveness of the management system during quarterly Improvement Reviews
- and annual Internal Audits and the Annual Management System Review.
We will enable this by:
- Training our employees;
- Training our Partners;
- Improving Stratum Civil Processes;
- Investing in resources;
- Investigating new technologies.

Environmental Policy
1.3.3 ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
In recognition of the importance of contributing to a healthier environment through a reduction of waste and the promotion of environmental sustainability. Stratum Civil is our commitment is to minimise or eliminate pollution and other damage to the environment caused by our services and work activities.
ACCOUNTABILITY
All members of the Company share the responsibility for promoting environmental sustainability through every day work practices.
EMPLOYER’S COMMITMENT
The Company’s commitment to environmental sustainability is illustrated in the following management processes. At all times management will:
- Comply with environmental legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice relating to the communities and on client sites in which we work;
- Develop and maintain a set of measurable environmental objectives that are monitored and reviewed through the management system review process to ensure effectiveness;
- Ensure the continual improvement of the effectiveness of the management system including annual reviews of policies and procedures;
- Consider the impact of processes and practices on the environment in the decision-making stages of planning and managing operations, activities and projects and where reasonably practicable make adjustments to planning and adopt process solutions which are demonstrative of the company’s commitment to environment sustainability
- Promote and encourage environmental awareness and provide training on workplace practices in line with environmental responsibilities
- Provide resources which facilitate environmentally friendly practices in line with this policy
- Continue to encourage and be open to feedback and participation from employees in the management of environmental impact
- Collectively continue to monitor the environmental work practices and ensure employees are acting in accordance with their responsibilities
- Re- assess processes periodically to ensure they remain effective and up-to-date and adopt new environmental practices where reasonably practicable
GENERAL WORKPLACE PRACTICES
In order to reduce our carbon footprint, we ask our employees to observe the following:
- Observe and use re-cycling bins for recycled products
- Regularly review electrical equipment and service or replace parts which are energy efficient
- Recycle batteries and ink-cartridges in an environmentally safe manner
- Turn off un-used machinery and equipment and ensure light switches are turned off when exiting an un-occupied room
